Unusual Services for Unusual People
Work has often meant something done in a certain location by a person for a company of sorts in exchange for pay because a person wouldn't normally do it for free. Pretty basic.
I've tried this dozens of times, perhaps even half a dozen dozen times (72?), for companies large and small, for-profit and non. Sometimes it works well, often it doesn't.
What to do When You're Much Too Much?
I have too much energy, too many ideas, too many troubling facial expressions, too many, too much, I'm just "too much" for the world outside my skull.
I've tried again and again to have a basic work personality and not be too giddy, not to inject stories or ideas into meetings where they don't belong or aren't wanted. I practice holding my face in the right positions so it's not too offensive or troublesome to others but damn, that's practically a job on its own!
The other day I was deep in my performance of inoffensive, neutral okay-ness and fairly certain I was killing it. But then three separate people asked me what was wrong.
If I'm myself, I get fired. If I try to fit in, everyone thinks I'm doing it wrong. (Please not anymore with the "you have RBF." I wasn't even close to resting, I was working hard!).

I am nonchalantly thrilled and nervous to tell you about the variety of Unusual Services for Unusual People that I'm offering on my compelling home on the internet: www.p.com.
These "Unusual Services" are for "Unusual People" and that's because they very specifically will not appeal to or work for everyone -- they are for the special flowers.
I know there are people on this planet that would very much enjoy and appreciate them but I just have to find them! Or they have to find me.
Most of these odd gems are services you can't easily find at a store but that might make your life just a little bit easier, a little bit more wonderful (like filled with wonder, not just fabulous but also fabulous), and maybe it just takes a perspective switch and of course I’ve got that!
I'll probably tell you eventually what they are but I'll be honest with you, long story long, it's probably going to take awhile. (you could just scroll down and see actually. Or you could go check out the really mesmerizing* video with the topics listed on top of photos of blue doors from the town of Jardín in the country of Colombia).
*It is, sadly, not really mesmerizing. This was a lie. Okay and it turned out to be just a series of photos, not a video
Matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match!
Would you. Could you make me a match? Could you help me find the people who would be into these types of things? Or help them find me? "I won't come in on Saturday, Lumbergh, and I won't be sending in those TPS reports…" (avoid deathbed regret)
Maybe one or maybe two will work for you but who can tell? (probably only you)!
Personal Current Life Dreams
And some more honesty, I really really really really want to get out of debt and into an apartment by myself where I can have a cozy shoe-free life inside and a lush garden for my habanero forest dreams outside.
I also want to get my damn green velvet couch out of Pittsburgh and under my body for the first time in two years and I want to bring down my sewing machine and make all sorts of weird things and have billowing curtains and fans and candles and yes, it might look vaguely like the set of I Would Do Anything for Love but I Won't Do That (no no I won't do that).
It's past time that I used my personality and brain instead of fighting it.
